As with all services offered by Winning Smiles, when it comes to fillings we believe in always working with the best possible materials to create the most natural results.
The key things for people needing fillings to consider are:
- Is the filling strong enough and of a suitable material to prevent further tooth decay? (some white filling materials are not)
- Will the filling material last, or is it likely to need to be replaced in a few years time?
- Will the filling be visible to others when I open my mouth?
To ensure our customers get the best answers to these questions, we use a unique white filling system developed in Milan
The system is called Enamel Plus and uses advanced material technology developed by Dr Lorenzo Vanini – recognised as the leading light in the science and application of white fillings -’composites’.
Dr Vanini has invented both this advanced cosmetic filling material and a superior tooth colour matching system to ensure that Enamel Plus fillings perfectly mimic natural tooth enamel and last as long as metal amalgam fillings – as long as 15 or 20 years!
Enamel Plus – made from unique composite materials
Unlike other white fillings, Enamel Plus is formed using two types of material – dentine and enamel. Five different elements are used: dentine, generic enamel, opalescent enamel, intensive enamel and stain. This allows the accurate reproduction of the five dimensions of colour found in natural teeth.
At Winning Smiles, the dentist (trained by Dr Vanini) blends these various materials together in layers, to enable us to match most exactly the colour of the tooth that we are filling.
Trained by the master
As you might imagine from someone who has dedicated his life to the production of beautiful white fillings, Dr Lorenzo Vanini has also perfected an exacting method to apply the fillings – and at Winning Smiles we have been fortunate enough to have received training from the master himself.
Quality means lasting value
The cheapest white fillings on the market present a false economy for patients – as highlighted in our cheap white fillings article. Our Enamel Plus system costs more but is designed to last.

The Free Consultation
Without seeing things for ourselves, we can’t tell people what their options are.
And so with that in mind, we are happy to offer free consultations, as this is a big decision for most people. We are careful to take budget, comfort and appearance into account when explaining all the available choices and there is never any pressure to proceed, and certainly not on the day.
We set out to be a friendly practice and try to provide everybody with what’s right for them, at an affordable cost. We hope our dentist reviews give that impression.
