Quality Dentistry, Dental Implants
I cannot thank Andrew and his team enough for their highly supportive and professional treatment during my dental implant surgery.
Andrew is clearly a highly skilled dental practitioner and he put me at ease straight away. My case was not straightforward and other dentists were not able to help – Winning Smiles COULD!
I am so impressed by the quality of Andrew’s dentistry and his eye for detail. I HIGHLY recommend this dentist and love my new implants!
Smile Wide with Pride

I’m SO glad I chose to have an implant 3 yrs ago. Treatment and cost was explained step by step and by letter so I could keep referring to at each appointment. Excellent job.
3 yrs on I needed to have another implant and some extensive restoration work – 3 crowns plus fillings, I had no hesitation to come back. Together with a little aesthetic work on a couple of front teeth (a treat to myself) to complement my tentative smile, which is now wide with pride!
All finished and fab. I would like to say a big thank you to Andrew and all the team for their endearing thoughtfulness and passionate professionalism with charm and humour.

Complicated Implant Case
My name is Sue and I am nearly 65 years old and had a terrific fear of Dentists I could cry just knowing I had to go. The teeth in my lower jaw were becoming loose and having no option went to another Dentist who said “at my age what did I expect and my jaw bone would not hold my teeth and they would all fall out and I would have to have a denture” I was devastated.
I phoned around and went to see a number of Dentists about implants and the attitude of the people left a a to be desired I was about to give up and one more phone call I was lucky enough to phone Alan at the Billericay branch and what a difference. I told him the problem and he was so positive light hearted and friendly I for the first time felt more confident.
They scan all patients at their Harold Wood branch where I met Andrew
What a good job. I had a cyst in my jaw bone which had eaten a hole through the bone and made matters more complicated as it had exposed the nerves in my face and I could not have a bone implant but all the time Alan and Andrew were still confident they could help me.
I told them I was scared out of my brains and they promised me that I would not feel any pain through the procedure which took 5 hours and 40minutes
- My lower teeth were extracted
- Titanium frame made and fitted in the mouth
- Titanium acrylic bridge fitted
- Implants placed immediately
All this work was carried out on the same day and I walked out with a full lower set of teeth. Alan and Andrew were true to their word I had no pain not only during but after the procedure.
The aftercare had been absolutely fantastic I consider I am one of the most critical people around and I cannot fault the care and attention I have received.
I cannot thank Alan and Andrew enough not once did they mention my age nor my vanity as an oap they have taken away my fear of dentists if you want a laugh at what was me a very stressful time, do not hesitate to go to them they make you feel so at ease

Tricky Implants Case
Excellent quality of service and treatment even for trickier cases.
After searching for a new dentist I was delighted to find Winning Smiles, impressed by the service and pleased with the affordable and comprehensive dental plan.
The team are all very friendly, happy to help arrange appointments around shift patterns and answer questions and queries. The hygienists and dentists offer an excellent level of treatment using the latest technology and heeding concerns with regard to how treatment is delivered, as well as patiently offering guidance and answering queries.
In a complex case concerning implants it was brilliant to have a team who worked out a schedule of treatment, kept me informed of progress and were able to accommodate a busy, working life.
Embarrassed by my teeth
I could write a page on how bad my teeth were before I first visited Winning Smiles. I’d got to the stage where my fear of dentists was outweighed by the embarrassment I felt by their condition. A consultation with Andrew put me at ease and gave me hope that something could be done. He doesn’t see the neglect, he sees the end result. Doesn’t berate you like a naughty child (had that a few times in the past!) but treats you as an adult needing his help and expertise.
Now a year on and 2 implants, a crown to fix a twisted canine, new fillings and whitening, I have a set of ‘gnashers’ I can flash with confidence, something I’ve not had since….well ever, really.
Andrew and all at Winning Smiles, I cannot thank you enough for all you’ve done and for curing me of my dental phobia. A customer for life….make that a ‘regular’ customer for life!

Losing teeth through gum disease
Having suffered from gum disease and lost several teeth my wife nagged me into seeking remedial treatment.
I researched treatment both in the UK and Overseas, but being self-employed I really could not afford to take time off and have extensive visits overseas so finding a local specialist I could trust was paramount.
Andrew and his team are indeed one of the most professional you will find and their expertise and understanding of your needs becomes apparent very quickly.
All of my treatment was carried out on premises including CT Scans and Implant surgery saving me valuable days of time and travelling.
I can honestly say the only discomfort in the 4 months of treatment I recieved was getting used to my temporary dentures and Andrew made this very clear from the start that this wouldnt be easy. He was right!
Even the two hour Hygenist session I needed before Implants was painless.
However, treatment now over I now have my IRD’s fitted they look brilliant, fit and work perfectly with no glue, pastes or powders to keep them in place. I am now eating normally again (which I havent done for years) and most of all enjoying smiling at everyone!

Dental Veneer Replacements
To say I was terrified of dentists was an understatement! I had 6 very old chipped, stained veneers which I was totally ashamed of.
At my consultation, Andrew and Julie assured me it really would be painless (I didn’t entirely believe this at the time)…I returned to have all my old veneers replaced with immediate veneers. I was given a sedative to help me relax (wonderful stuff!) and didn’t even realise when I had the anaesthetic by way of the dental wand.
I can truthfully say the entire process from removing the old veneers to replacing with new ones was absolutely pain free. It wasn’t even remotely uncomfortable. I was quite happy chilling under a blanket listening to my iPod and before I knew it, I had lovely teeth again.
I feel 40+ years of having a phobia has been cured instantly so I cannot thank Andrew and his lovely ladies enough.

A caring attitude and attention to detail
A big big thank you to Andrew and his team at winning smiles. The whole staff are so friendly and helpful. My treatment took about six months during which I was so impressed with Andrew’s attention to detail and how meticulous he is. And above all his caring attitude.
He had a vision from the start about my treatment that we had to alter to suit my budget. I also had fillings done by Ian, a superb dentist who is very friendly, patient and accurate.

Over the course of a few years, the issues I had with my teeth led to more and more problems, not only with eating, but with facing people too. Phobia since childhood didn’t help either. After doing extensive research, I decided to contact Winning Smiles for their free consultation, and what a difference that made!

Many suffer from what ‘they’ feel is an irrational feeling of fear, but we know it is quite natural and more common that you might think, nothing to be embarrassed about. Life Changing Smile Makeover
For years I had wanted to have lovely teeth, I have a huge smile and it was looking worse and worse, I had a mish mash of teeth on a plate, awful fillings and discolouration. I was fast losing confidence and my smile. No one wanted to take on the challenge – then I found Andrew and his team.
Straight away Andrew decided what was to be done and when I was really worried and couldn’t believe anyone could give me back my smile Andrew took the time to call me and go through all the treatment with me giving me the confidence to go ahead with the treatment.

I would firstly like to say this is the first review I have ever left on a website.
After 18 months of disastrous visits to a highly recommended dental practise I was left with what I considered to be unsightly teeth and so disappointed and upset by the outcome. I then went to visit Andrew Fennell. I cannot say enough in this short review about the quality of his work, total professionalism, care, attention to detail but most importantly the outcome of what was achieved. He took on what other dentists had declined to do, and I am utterly thrilled at the result.
I have given permission for Andrew to use my before and after photographs on the website, and I think people can decide for themselves. The quality of his work is so very visible, and I cannot thank him enough for the way it’s made me feel. I would describe the practise as one of excellence, the standards, care, consideration and overall professionalism I think is outstanding.
Finally I think it is important to add that from the moment I picked up the phone and spoke to Debbie, who instilled huge faith immediately, right through to having the treatment with Victoria assisting and Julie finalising things for me I have to say the girls who work with Andrew are wonderful.
