Part Time – Qualified Dental Nurse

About The Role

• 25 hours per week opportunity, two Saturdays per month
• Providing the highest standard of clinical support to our dentists and specialists
• Winning Smiles Dental Practice are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working team player who will carry out chairside, reception and decontamination duties
• The role will be approximately 50% reception and 50% dental nurse responsibilities
• Supporting the Reception Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
• Booking and amending appointments
• Updating patient records
• Handling payments and making patients aware of dental services and offers
• Managing referrals
• Handling sensitive information and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Perform top-quality dental nursing in all procedures in a safe and effective manner
• Maintain the clinical environment and equipment
• Prepare equipment, materials and patients with efficiency and empathy
• Excellent understanding of infection control prevention and procedures
• Assist with maintenance of the surgery
• Receptionist, front of house and clerical duties
• Any other ad hoc responsibilities as reasonably requested

About You

• Maintain professional indemnity and registration with the GDC
• Comply with the ‘Code of Ethics’ of the British Association of Dental Nurses
• Undertake CPD in line with the GDC guidelines
• Knowledge of CQC and compliance
• Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
• Friendly and welcoming manner
• Strong teamwork ability with an enthusiastic attitude
• Proficient user of the requisite dental software and Microsoft package
• Vaccinated against Hepatitis B
