Dental implant is a widely accepted option of tooth replacement nowadays. They can either be single or multiple. People find this more convenient than using dentures as it provides a long-term solution and better improvement in the quality of life.
Second Implant Fitted
When my dentist suggested a tooth needed to be removed and I should consider an implant ….. I was slightly horrified. Thankfully his recommendation was Andrew and his amazing team at ‘Winning Smiles’. From the lovely Denise on reception through to Andrew the team were professional and reassuring. Today I had my second implant / tooth fitted. I feel amazing and became overwhelmed as I thanked Andrew tonight.
This investment in your smile is worth every penny and I’m just beyond thankful I didn’t go anywhere else. Thanks, everyone. Have a well earned holiday Andrew. See you all in 6 months 😀
Just finished having a full set of implants, cannot recommend highly enough, from start to finish it has been a 5* journey as I’m a very nervous patient and was put at ease all the way through, with amazing results,
I found winning smiles online about one year ago, Andrew and his team, including the girls that run the reception, have been brilliant to me, going out of their way to refer me and chasing up hospital appointments.
All the work I had done including cosmetic, as well as implants, is to the highest standard possible, I am amazed by the technology used at the clinic and their very high standards on every aspect. I would definitely recommend winning smiles to friends and family!
I would like to thank Andrew and Toni and all his lovely staff for making me feel so at ease from the moment I walked in.
I was petrified but they were so caring and explained everything about lower jaw implants which I had done. I cannot fault the excellent implant surgery Andrew did and the Sedationist was brilliant I didn’t feel a thing.
I am so happy with my new teeth and I will be staying with them for good I only wish I had known about them sooner. If you’re nervous about dentist go to Andrew not only does he do a brilliant pain-free implant he truly cares and takes time with you nothing is too much trouble
Thank you so much, Andrew and your fantastic team.
The best thing I ever did was to find Winning Smiles when doing an on line search for implant surgery. What can I say about Winning Smiles, going to meet Andrew and his team they put me at ease and made me feel special. On the first consultation Andrew and his team went through the stages of what would happen. I had a full set of top teeth fitted at the first stage and the attention to detail by Andrew was wonderful. When the top set was fitted it boosted my confidence making eating comfortable. I wasn’t afraid to speak and smile any more. So if you want to smile go to Winning Smiles.
Thanks to Andrew and his team, I have amazing new teeth.
I had surgery for dental implants earlier this year and now I can honestly say I love my smile. It wasn’t an easy process but Andrew and the staff at winning smiles helped me overcome my fear with their caring and calming attitudes.
Now the end result is something I am extremely happy with, and I would definitely recommend Winning Smiles to anybody seeking out any kind of dental work!
My only regret is not visiting Andrew 10 years ago.
My quality of life was becoming compromised by constantly having front bridges dislodging and falling out (mainly at important meetings, functions or holidays), to excuse the pun I was fed up to the back teeth.
For me the scheduling of appointments, explained cost at every stage and the sheer progress during my dental implant surgery was astounding. I’m not joking I looked forward to every visit.
Having the x-rays scans on site was great too; Andrew leads a great dedicated team who deliver a very slick 360 service during every stage of your treatment, including the best & gentlest hygienist I’ve ever been too.
In a nutshell (a dark and confined space) Andrew is without doubt a master of his trade, very kind and has a great sense of humour too.
Please DO NOT HESITATE to make the leap of faith, the best thing I ever did in 2015.
I would just like to thank Andrew, Ian and all of the staff at Winning Smiles.
I have just completed my treatment, implants, crowns, orthodontics and whitening and am over the moon with the results. I found all of the staff at Winning Smiles very friendly and extremely professional. They listened to the problems I was having with my teeth, suggested solutions and explained every stage of the procedures.
I would highly recommend them as I now have a ‘Winning Smile’ to be proud of.
My name is Sue and I am nearly 65 years old and had a terrific fear of Dentists I could cry just knowing I had to go. The teeth in my lower jaw were becoming loose and having no option went to another Dentist who said “at my age what did I expect and my jaw bone would not hold my teeth and they would all fall out and I would have to have a denture” I was devastated.
I phoned around and went to see a number of Dentists about implants and the attitude of the people left a a to be desired I was about to give up and one more phone call I was lucky enough to phone Alan at the Billericay branch and what a difference. I told him the problem and he was so positive light hearted and friendly I for the first time felt more confident.
They scan all patients at their Harold Wood branch where I met Andrew
What a good job. I had a cyst in my jaw bone which had eaten a hole through the bone and made matters more complicated as it had exposed the nerves in my face and I could not have a bone implant but all the time Alan and Andrew were still confident they could help me.
I told them I was scared out of my brains and they promised me that I would not feel any pain through the procedure which took 5 hours and 40minutes
My lower teeth were extracted
Titanium frame made and fitted in the mouth
Titanium acrylic bridge fitted
Implants placed immediately
All this work was carried out on the same day and I walked out with a full lower set of teeth. Alan and Andrew were true to their word I had no pain not only during but after the procedure.
The aftercare had been absolutely fantastic I consider I am one of the most critical people around and I cannot fault the care and attention I have received.
I cannot thank Alan and Andrew enough not once did they mention my age nor my vanity as an oap they have taken away my fear of dentists if you want a laugh at what was me a very stressful time, do not hesitate to go to them they make you feel so at ease
I would like to say thank you to Alan and Andrew for all the consideration they have shown me
Having had a very loose bottom plate I visited Andrew at winning smiles, it was decided that a couple of implants would do, we went ahead and it was the BEST thing I have ever done, Andrew explain it all in a very simple and easy way to understand the treatment, costs etc.
Now I would not hesitate to recommend anybody with a similar problem as mine to visit Winning Smiles and speak to Andrew. Thank very much Andrew and Winning Smiles. Rodolfo
Thank goodness for Google! I searched “dental / denture phobia” and came up with the Winning Smiles website. I am 62 years old and work in a position where I am constantly dealing with people face to face. Having had dental problems for many years and having been unable to cope with regular dentures or even sitting in the dentist’s chair I was at the point of considering giving up work as my dental appearance was so poor I felt constantly embarrassed and yet could not overcome my phobia to visit a dentist.
From my first contact with Winning Smiles I have nothing but praise for Andrew Fennell and indeed his whole team. I now have denture implants and can smile again for the first time in years and although I still have some work to be done I have no fear! Thank you so so much.
Judy thanks so much for your honesty here. So many patients are in a similar situation and they want to know that something can be done to help them overcome their nerves and sort out their dental problems.
Many patients suffer so much with their dentures that they either give up and go ‘toothless’ or only wear them for show – being careful never to eat in front of anyone. Dentures can be very difficult to wear – even the good ones move around quite a bit (especially in the lower jaw) – eating hard food? Forget it.
Soft foods only – and nipping to the bathroom after every meal to remove trapped food. Hardly glamorous.
About 10% of denture patients can’t wear them because they cause gagging.
And why have these patients lost so many teeth in the first place? It’s as Judy says – a fear of visiting the dentist (often started as a child) which keeps them away unless they are in total agony by which time it is often too late to save the tooth and the extractions start. Our first task with a patient like Judy (and there are many) is to reassure them that
1) We care
2) We understand
3)We are not going to make you feel like its all your fault (its usually a childhood dentist at fault in truth)
4) We will take all the time we need (no rushing)
5) It’s never too late – we can provide a fully functioning solution.
I must have been the worst patient to walk through the doors of winning smiles, being so afraid of dentists. I have tried at least 5 to get my teeth sorted out but never been able to stay in the chair for more than 5 minutes, so when my friend recommended me to see Andrew I was convinced it would end up the same. I have been 2 years without front teeth, top and bottom, following a riding accident. I was becoming very depressed because my confidence was going as I found it difficult to talk to people and make eye contact, which is important in my work and was always putting my head down and covering my mouth.
I had a consultation with Andrew and he explained what work could be done. He was very professional but at the same time, reassuring with a calm and kind manner. I actually began to believe I could go through with the implant that I needed.
When the day came for the work to be done, I was very, very nervous but felt quietly confident. I couldn’t believe how painless, quick and professionally it was done. I didn’t even need to take pain relief and that evening, tucked into a steak dinner.
Thank you Andrew and your great team for letting me smile again.
After having five old teeth removed I had a real confidence issue when out with friends or family. I always felt self conscious about smiling, as this would show the gaps in my teeth. So I went along to see Andrew who was very understanding and explained in great detail what he could do and how long the work would take.
I felt so confident in Andrews advice that I decided to have five new implants and some additional work started as soon as possible. Now after 6 months i have the smile i always wanted and feel more confident in public. I can’t thank Andrew and the staff at winning smiles enough for all the help and support they have given me.
I began my dentistry treatment with Andrew and his team back in September. Every time I visit the surgery I am more and more amazed! I have had five teeth extracted and have never felt any pain! Amazing! I am now preparing for implant surgery and I never thought I’d say this about dentistry treatment but I actually can’t wait.
Andrew and his team are fantastic, they are all very friendly and I am always impressed that they remember my name.
Andrew has cured my fear of dentists and made it possible for me to smile with confidence at my wedding. Thank you!
Hello Andrew and the winning smile team. I would like to say a huge Thank you for the wonderful front tooth implant you did for me recently..the thought of spending the rest of my life with a front tooth missing was a pretty depressing feeling…but thanks to your knowledge and skill i now have a tooth that fits perfectly with my own…even though i had to travel from Peterborough because i just could not find a dentist that took the broken tooth out and replaced it straight away with the implant..but you did…Great stuff. X
Hi, i am almost at the end of my implant surgery. I have had a front tooth and one just to the side done so it was obviously very important that the implants looked good, matched the colour of my other teeth and looked like my own teeth. They do look good, they do match and they do look like i grew them myself!
Without wishing to bore you with my dental phobic history; i was a gibbering wreck, i couldn’t go to work on the days i visited the dentist and quite often couldn’t go the day after either! I would guess that i must have been one of the worst cases that Andrew and his team have encountered; whimpering, yelping, whining and unable to breath – and that was just in the waiting room. However, since finding Andrew: oh happy day, i am a changed woman!
I no longer have the fear, no longer call the dentist chair ‘the chair of doom’ and can go to work both before and after treatment….on the same day!
Not only has he worked miracles with my teeth he has also stopped me being terrified….no mean feat!
The team who work with him are equally great and deserve much credit as well.
If you are petrified i can only say go see him. He and the team will sort out your teeth and your fear.
After two weeks with my fab new smile, I feel inspired to share my experience.
From my first meeting and consultation with Andrew Fennell, I felt comfortrouble and at ease, a first for me I’m afraid, previous dentists must have studied at Dewhurst I think, nuff said.
I had a series of missing, loose and broken crowns, and my smile had disappeared and distorted over time. Andrew offered different options to rebuild the smile, we worked out the most cost effective way in my case would be a bridge, great, compared with dentures I was offered everywhere else this was fantastic and I was very happy to start treatment.
Winning Smiles attitude to pain management must be commended! That for me was a very big fear and what kept me away from a dentist for too long. The painless injection system used by Andrew was the most reassuring experience possible, from then on I was happy to go through hours of work and even have a laugh during treatment at times, amazing. Other patients reading this will know what I mean when I talk about the synergy between Andrew and his nurses during treatment, it’s almost like going to a gig with the level of intuition and communication on display, and has changed my mind about dentists forever (well some anyway).
So having also seen Andrew blow a mean blues harmonica, I can understand this better!
The skill and communication on display between Andrew, and the entire team are what makes Winning Smiles brilliant. The atmosphere, the statue, the smiles on the faces of other waiting clients, just make the whole experience really enjoyable.
My smile recommends Winning Smiles to everybody I meet. Thank you all and see you soon no doubt for hygienist and other delights.
