After having five old teeth removed I had a real confidence issue when out with friends or family. I always felt self conscious about smiling, as this would show the gaps in my teeth. So I went along to see Andrew who was very understanding and explained in great detail what he could do and how long the work would take.
I felt so confident in Andrews advice that I decided to have five new implants and some additional work started as soon as possible. Now after 6 months i have the smile i always wanted and feel more confident in public. I can’t thank Andrew and the staff at winning smiles enough for all the help and support they have given me.
I began my dentistry treatment with Andrew and his team back in September. Every time I visit the surgery I am more and more amazed! I have had five teeth extracted and have never felt any pain! Amazing! I am now preparing for implant surgery and I never thought I’d say this about dentistry treatment but I actually can’t wait.

I would like to say a huge Thank you for the wonderful front tooth implant you did for me recently..the thought of spending the rest of my life with a front tooth missing was a pretty depressing feeling…but thanks to your knowledge and skill i now have a tooth that fits perfectly with my own…even though i had to travel from Peterborough because i just could not find a dentist that took the broken tooth out and replaced it straight away with the implant..but you did…Great stuff. X
Barbara – No longer the Chair of Doom
Hi, i am almost at the end of my implant surgery. I have had a front tooth and one just to the side done so it was obviously very important that the implants looked good, matched the colour of my other teeth and looked like my own teeth. They do look good, they do match and they do look like i grew them myself!
Without wishing to bore you with my dental phobic history; i was a gibbering wreck, i couldn’t go to work on the days i visited the dentist and quite often couldn’t go the day after either!
I would guess that i must have been one of the worst cases that Andrew and his team have encountered; whimpering, yelping, whining and unable to breath – and that was just in the waiting room.
However, since finding Andrew: oh happy day, i am a changed woman!
I no longer have the fear, no longer call the dentist chair ‘the chair of doom’ and can go to work both before and after treatment….on the same day!
Not only has he worked miracles with my teeth he has also stopped me being terrified….no mean feat!
The team who work with him are equally great and deserve much credit as well.
If you are petrified i can only say go see him. He and the team will sort out your teeth and your fear.
After two weeks with my fab new smile, I feel inspired to share my experience.
From my first meeting and consultation with Andrew Fennell, I felt comfortrouble and at ease, a first for me I’m afraid, previous dentists must have studied at Dewhurst I think, nuff said.
I had a series of missing, loose and broken crowns, and my smile had disappeared and distorted over time. Andrew offered different options to rebuild the smile, we worked out the most cost effective way in my case would be a bridge, great, compared with dentures I was offered everywhere else this was fantastic and I was very happy to start treatment.
Winning Smiles attitude to pain management must be commended! That for me was a very big fear and what kept me away from a dentist for too long. The painless injection system used by Andrew was the most reassuring experience possible, from then on I was happy to go through hours of work and even have a laugh during treatment at times, amazing. Other patients reading this will know what I mean when I talk about the synergy between Andrew and his nurses during treatment, it’s almost like going to a gig with the level of intuition and communication on display, and has changed my mind about dentists forever (well some anyway).
So having also seen Andrew blow a mean blues harmonica, I can understand this better!
The skill and communication on display between Andrew, and the entire team are what makes Winning Smiles brilliant. The atmosphere, the statue, the smiles on the faces of other waiting clients, just make the whole experience really enjoyable.
