Teeth Stain Removal

Our answer to heavily stained teeth!

AIRFLOW Teeth Stain Removal

What the cosmetic dentists at Winning Smiles have seen over the years is that dental bleaching/whitening does not work on teeth that have very heavy stains covering the enamel surface pores.

In Search of Perfection

These heavy stains appear as dark brown/yellow or grey lines and spots and are usually clearly visible when someone smiles. Often if these stains are showing in your smile then the back of the teeth will be even more heavily stained – these are the stains that the Winning Smiles hygiene team can show you using our digital intra-oral cameras.

The trouble with thick layers of heavy stains is they prevent our dental whitening (bleaching) agents from entering the enamel pores in the first place – hence limiting whitening effects to only those areas that do not have heavy stains!

Introducing AIRFLOW stain removal, the Solution!

The answer is clear: remove all heavy stains first prior to dental whitening.

The Winning Smiles hygiene team have always used ultrasonic scalers to remove heavy staining (often prior to a course of whitening treatment).

But we’re always on the look out for new, better techniques, and we have invested in a more sophisticated stain removal device known as the ‘Airflow stain remover’

Ultimately, this will benefit all those patients out there who love their red wine, curries and black coffees!!

How does it work?

The AIR-FLOW system fires a jet of compressed air, water and fine sodium bicarbonate particles at the surface of the teeth to gently polish the surface and remove debris. It cleans your teeth thoroughly removing any superficial stains  and giving you an instantly whiter smile without bleaching.

This way the whitening effects will be significantly boosted. Furthermore, for those patients who’s main concern is just the dark brown coffee/nicotine/red wine type stains removing those stains might be all they need to regain full confidence in their smile again!

[TOP TIP: don’t wear your best black top to your airflow appointment because you will come away with a fine dusting of minute white particles around the neck area

What they say about us

Care and Attention

I can honestly say that I have never been treated with such care and attention at a dentist before. Ian fitted instant veneers for me and the amount of confidence it has given me and the way they look is amazing.

I sing for a choir and also a rock n roll band and will never feel self conscious about my teeth again.

Ian was very kind, patient and took great pride in his work. I would not hesitate to recommend the winning smiles team to anyone, so if you’re thinking about it please do make an appointment. You won’t be disappointed.

New Teeth

I’d like to thank Ian @ Winning Smiles for my New teeth, I love them so much and I can’t thank you enough. Thanks again to Ian and all the staff.
