White fillings
As with all services offered by Winning Smiles, when it comes to fillings we believe in always working with the best possible materials to create the most natural results.
The key things for people needing fillings to consider are:
- Is the filling strong enough and of a suitable material to prevent further tooth decay? (some white filling materials are not)
- Will the filling material last, or is it likely to need to be replaced in a few years time?
- Will the filling be visible to others when I open my mouth?
To ensure our customers get the best possible answers to all these questions, we use a unique white filling system which combines the brilliance of Italian design with the precision of German manufacturing.
Our advanced white filling system
The system is called Enamel Plus and uses advanced materials developed by Dr Lorenzo Vanini – recognised as the leading light in the science and application of white fillings composite material.
Dr Vanini has invented both the advanced composite material and a far superior tooth colour matching system to ensure that the Enamel Plus fillings are the natural colour of the teeth and will last as long as metal amalgam fillings – an incredible 15 to 20 years.
Enamel Plus – made from unique composite materials
Unlike other white fillings, Enamel Plus is formed using two types of material – dentine and enamel. To break it down even further, five different individual elements are used: dentine, generic enamel, opalescent enamel, intensive enamel and stain. This enables us to reproduce exactly the five dimensions which make up the natural colour of teeth.
At the surgery, our master ceramicist blends these various materials together in layers, to enable us to match most exactly the colour of the tooth that we are filling.
Trained by the master
As you might imagine from someone who has dedicated his life to the production of beautiful white fillings, Dr Lorenzo Vanini has also perfected an exacting method to apply the fillings – and at Winning Smiles we have been fortunate enough to have received training from the master himself.
Quality means lasting value
The cheapest white fillings on the market present a false economy for patients – as highlighted in our cheap white fillings article. Our Enamel Plus system costs only slightly more but is designed to last.
