Smile design is a cosmetic philosophy encompassing a ‘Whole Smile’ approach to improving your appearance. Originally developed in the States, the Cosmetic Dentist works in partnership with the Patient and the Master-Ceramist
First Appointment
At the first Smile Design appointment, a number of important factors about you and your smile are gathered together including
- your wishes and expectations
- models of your teeth
- photographs
- x-rays
This information is analysed between the ceramist at the lab and your cosmetic dentist at Winning Smiles. The ceramist will then produce an accurate wax mock-up of how your teeth will look at the end of treatment.
Second Appointment
At the 2nd appointment, we will show you the model of how your teeth could look and effect any changes to the design that you might wish for. We also prepare the teeth at this appointment and fit temporary veneers matching the wax-designed teeth. The temporary teeth are worn for a week so that you can assess what you do and don’t like about your new smile.
Third Appointment
When you return to the clinic with your temporary teeth in place we consult with you on any changes that should be made to the temporaries, effect those changes to your satisfaction, choose the new colour and make an accurate record of your new smile for the ceramist to use as a guide when making your permanent ceramic smile design veneers.
Last Appointment
The complete new smile is delivered to the clinic and your cosmetic dentist will then bond the multiple veneers into place….new smile is complete, time to dazzle your friends and family!
The Free Consultation
Without seeing things for ourselves, we can’t tell people what their options are.
And so with that in mind, we are happy to offer free consultations, as this is a big decision for most people. We are careful to take budget, comfort and appearance into account when explaining all the available choices and there is never any pressure to proceed, and certainly not on the day.
We set out to be a friendly practice and try to provide everybody with what’s right for them, at an affordable cost. We hope our dentist reviews give that impression.

I just like to say thank you so much for your help and how much it has made me feel comfortable about my teeth. I have always hated my teeth, everything about them and it didn’t help that I am scared of going to the dentist either.
My whole experience of Winning Smiles has been fantastic. I hate everything about the dentist from the second you walk in till the second you leave. However since I have been going to winning-smiles my confidence has grown. There is not any pain at all including the needle at the very beginning to numb your gums. That’s the bit I hate the most.
When I went for my consultation and I explained that I feel my teeth were too far forward, that the front two teeth are too long and that the fillings that I had done somewhere else where yellow. He explained that I could not do anything about the teeth being so far forward with out breaking my jaw, but what he could do would be a significant difference. He explained by filing down the too front teeth, whiting all the front teeth and changing the colour of the fillings to match the colour of my teeth after whiting would make a big difference.
I agreed to have everything he said done and I am very pleased with the results, he took a before and after photo and it is amazing how much better they are and how much better I feel about my teeth. I was worried at first as I fault it would hurt but I can honestly say none of it did.
I love my new teeth and now can show them off. Thank you to everyone

Although I’ve read lots of reviews for this and that I’ve never actually left one, this will be my first.
I had all my fillings changed for white, a crown an inman aligner and bleaching. The results were better than I was expecting I’m very pleased with the result, and I would like to just say thank you to all at winning smiles. Not only for this but also for how accommodating they were arranging appointments due to the fact I live 140+ miles away. Thank you
